Our destination is the small seaside township of Amity which is the hub to start your exploration of Straddie.
We highly recommend exploring the world-famous beaches and eco trails as well as participating in a cultural experience. Please see our “Experience Straddie Guide” to plan your day or longer stay.
Translink offer regular bus services from Amity to both Point Lookout and Dunwich. The bus from Amity runs every hour now and you can access the Point and Dunwich. There will be a bus waiting when we arrive. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children per ticket. We highly recommend securing a ticket on this bus service. Quite often on weekends, tourists can find themselves stranded without transport due to the high nuzmber of visitors on the island.
To ensure a seat onboard our water taxi service, we recommend booking, however we do allow walk passengers and we can take payment on the boat via EFTPOS subject to availability.
Get away from the busy city for a fun-filled Stradbroke Island day trip, experiencing the vibrant culture and exploring the breathtaking nature of Stradbroke with River to Bay’s Stradbroke Island Ferry service.

- Dogs are allowed on the boat under the conditions that, the dog must be on a lead at all times, the dog must not be considered dangerous or at risk of endangering others and that customers on board need to consider the size of the dog as we do not have a lot of spare space on board so we wouldn’t really recommend bringing bigger dogs.
