Let’s get the music pumping and the drinks flowing, jump onboard the Epic Island Pub Crawl tour for an exciting day out and a chance to party with fellow travellers!
- Depart from Northshore Hamilton Public Pontoon (Near Eat Street)
- An exhilarating trip on our high-speed vessel, down the river, and across magnificent Moreton Bay, full of sea life including Dolphins, Turtles, Dugongs, Sting Rays and even whales (in season).
- Visit two of the largest sand islands in the world – North Stradbroke Island and Moreton Island!
- Party at two island bars – The World-Famous “Gutter Bar” and Jamie Vogler’s “Amity Tavern”.
- Enjoy lunch at the Amity Tavern, which is included.
- On the islands, you can expect Koalas, Kangaroos, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
- There is plenty of time to swim in the crystal-clear waters of Moreton Bay, so bring your towel.
- We will return to Hamilton Northshore at sunset where you can continue the party at your leisure.
IMPORTANT DETAILS
- Duration: 10am-6pm
- Lunch is included in this tour; drinks and snacks are available for purchase onboard our vessel and at each venue.
- All guests must be 18+ with proof of age identification. We are bound by the “Responsible Service” of Alcohol Laws.
- You must also bring some form of footwear.
- There is a toilet onboard the vessel.
If tides do not permit us accessing Gutter Bar we will pull up to the spectacular Amity Sandbar for a few beverages instead.

The beautiful Moreton Bay waters are home to six of the seven species of sea turtles including the curious Green Sea Turtle. It is also the home to countless different kinds of Marine Life wildlife. Get up close and personal to these majestic creatures as you sail & swim around their underwater home.

WHERE DO I MEET MY BOAT?
- Our Island Pub Trawl starts and ends at Northshore public pontoon – 285 MacArthur Avenue, Hamilton
- This is a return trip and you will finish where you start
IS THE TOUR SUITABLE FOR KIDS?
- No, not this trip. We do have other trips suitable for kids and families.
- Not suitable for people with back or heart conditions, pregnant women.
ARE FOOD AND DRINK PROVIDED?
- Yes, lunch is included at the Amity Tavern
- We do not allow BYO, however, you may purchase drinks onboard
DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM?
- No, but the tour will be more fun if you can.
- Please ensure that you tell our tour leaders if you are not a strong swimmer so they can keep a close eye on you
WILL I GET SEASICK?
- Our crossing to Moreton Island can become rough and we advise anyone who suffers from seasickness to take their medication prior to travel.
- If you do begin to feel unwell please advise the crew so they can move you to a more comfortable seat or provide sick bags
ARE THERE ANY MEDICAL OR HEALTH RESTRICTIONS?
- Given the changing conditions on the bay and our high-speed boats, the trip can become quite exciting. While the seats are safe and comfortable, the motion could aggravate an existing back condition
- Similarly, some activities are strenuous and not suitable to be undertaken by people with heart conditions
- We reserve the right to refuse travel in the interests of your own health and safety
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?
- In order to keep to our schedule, we ask that you are at the pontoon waiting for us at least 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. If we arrive early, we’ll start boarding immediately
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
- We recommend bringing a change of clothes, swimming attire, a jumper/jacket, towel, hat, water bottle, sunglasses, and sunscreen
WILL I GET WET ON THE BOAT?
- Our boats cruise at 25 knots, and sea spray often occurs and adds to the experience! The boats are equipped with clear roll-downs which will be used where necessary.
ARE THERE TOILET FACILITIES ON THE BOATS?
- Yes, our boats are equipped with a full private toilet. We also stop at some locations that have larger facilities.
HOW LONG IS THE TRAVEL TIME FROM BRISBANE TO AMITY?
- Travel time is between 90-120 minutes from Brisbane to Amity.
WHAT TIME WILL WE ARRIVE BACK IN BRISBANE AFTER THE TOUR IS FINISHED?
- We will arrive back in Brisbane around 6:00pm.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF RAIN?
- River to Bay seeks to run all its tours as planned. Our Boats are fully contained and we will do our best to ensure that passengers do not get wet whilst on the boat.
- It is important to note that whilst it may be raining in Brisbane, the weather is often lovely at Moreton Island
- Our bay tours will only be cancelled in the event of strong winds and large swells that are deemed unsafe.
- If you do not wish to travel due to the weather we can reschedule you or provide a gift voucher that is valid for up to 3 years. However, any cancellations within 48 hours prior to a tour will incur a 100% cancellation fee. Guests requesting a reschedule 48 hours prior to a tour will incur a 50% cancellation fee as per our T&Cs.
WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CANCEL?
- In the event of a cancelled tour, we will do our best to reschedule you to a more suitable date. If there is no tour immediately available, we will supply a gift voucher that is valid for 3 years.
