Snorkel The Tangalooma Wrecks

Dive and explore the iconic Tangalooma Wrecks underwater paradise. Home to over 200 species of fish, 130 species of coral, and a myriad of marine life, this world-class snorkelling site is guaranteed to take your breath away.

*minimum age for snorkelling is 6 years old. All participants under 12 years old MUST wear a life jacket

Replenish your energy, and enjoy a delicious, locally prepared lunch at Dunwich’s award- winning café before heading off for some free time. Take a relaxing beach walk along the crystal blue waters, walk one of the nearby bushwalking trails, or simply relax along the sand and soak up some sunshine, the choice is yours!

St Helena Island Adventure

Step back in time and  learn about Australia’s worst criminals as you explore the rich history and iconic landscapes of St Helena Island. Our tour will cruise along the island’s coast where you’ll learn about the eerie history of St Helena from your guide.

Meet Local Wildlife

Moreton Bay is home to countless different kinds of Marine Life and local wildlife. From Sea Turtles to the iconic Australian Kangaroo, the “Best of Moreton Bay” gets you up close and personal with local wildlife.

Green Sea Turtles

The beautiful Moreton Bay waters are home to six of the seven species of sea turtles including the world’s largest – The Green Sea Turtle. Get up close and personal to these majestic creatures as you sail, swim and snorkel around their underwater home.

Kangaroo’s

Our three beautiful islands are home to over 20 different species of native Australian kangaroos and wallabies. As you hop between islands, witness these incredible animals in their native habitat.

Koala’s

Hidden up in the tall trees and nestled among the lush greenery is our beautiful Koala families. Your challenge is to spot as many of these Australian icons as possible.

WHERE DO I MEET MY BOAT?

  • Our Best of Moreton Bay Tour starts at Northshore Harbour.
  • This is a return trip and guests will finish where they started

IS THE TOUR SUITABLE FOR KIDS?

  • Child rate applies to passengers from 6 to 14 years old inclusive
  • Not suitable for people with back or heart conditions, pregnant women

ARE FOOD AND DRINK PROVIDED?

  • The Best of Moreton includes lunch at Little Ship Club. We will also have water on board for guests. You can purchase other drinks on board or at Little Ship Club.

IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE?

  • There is ample free parking at Northshore Harbour.

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM?

  • No, but the tour will be more fun if you can. If you do not wish to snorkel you can purchase our ‘No Snorkel’ ticket.
  • Please ensure that you tell our tour leaders if you are not a strong swimmer so they can keep a close eye on you.

HOW LONG DO WE SNORKEL FOR?

  • We aim to have at least 60 mins.

WILL IT BE ROUGH?

  • Weather can be unpredictable. However, our objective is to cross the bay with the best forecast possible.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?

WILL I GET SEASICK?

  • Our crossing to Moreton Island can become rough and we advise anyone that suffers from seasickness to take their medication prior to travel.
  • If you do begin to feel unwell please advise the crew so they can move you to a more comfortable seat or provide sick bags.

ARE THERE ANY MEDICAL OR HEALTH RESTRICTIONS?

  • Given the changing conditions on the bay and our high-speed boats, the trip can become quite exciting. While the seats are safe and comfortable, the motion could aggravate an existing back condition.
  • Similarly, some activities are strenuous and not suitable to be undertaken by people with heart conditions.
  • We reserve the right to refuse travel in the interests of your own health and safety.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

  • In order to keep to our schedule, we ask that you are at the pontoon waiting for us at least 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. If we arrive early, we’ll start boarding immediately.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

  • We recommend bringing a change of clothes, swimming attire, a jumper/jacket, towel, hat, water bottle, sunglasses, and sunscreen.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL HIRE FEES

  • Everything you need is included in your all-inclusive fare. We provide snorkel equipment, noodles, and wetsuits as needed for no additional cost. Additional options and souvenirs may be available at an additional cost.

WILL I GET WET ON THE BOAT?

  • Our boats cruise at 25-30 knots, and sea spray often occurs and adds to the experience! The boats are equipped with clear roll-downs which will be utilized where necessary.

ARE THERE TOILET FACILITIES ON THE BOATS?

  • Yes, our boats are equipped with a full private toilet. We also stop at some locations that have larger facilities. Please let the crew know if you need to go while we are underway.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF RAIN?

  • River to Bay seeks to run all its tours as planned. Our Boats are fully contained and we will do our best to ensure that passengers do not get wet whilst on the boat.
  • It is important to note that whilst it may be raining in Brisbane, the weather is often lovely at Moreton Island
  • Our bay tours will only be cancelled in the event of strong winds and large swells that are deemed unsafe. If a tour is cancelled or you decide you would not like to travel that day, we can reschedule you or provide a gift voucher for use at a later date.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CANCEL?

  • In the event of a cancelled tour, we will do our best to reschedule you to a more suitable date. If there is no tour immediately available, we will supply a gift voucher that is valid for 3 years.
